Our Story

The idea for Alex and the Stars was first born on a warm summer evening, socializing on the deck and stargazing.  Anita had the innocent thought,

"What if the stars came to Earth?" 

 

After that night, Anita explored many iterations of the story.  It was a stage play, a screenplay and a middle grade novel over the next 5 years.  Anita had all but put the idea to bed when Johanna asked if she could add her voice to the tale. As an avid fantasy reader, she could see the potential for the larger scale epic.  Together, the mother/ daughter pair started anew, finding their way to Taraverden and this glow filled adventure.
